Another great fall finale from the One Chicago universe, I am so glad we got to see the continuation for storyline A and B. First of all, I think we can safely say that Imani is officially part of the intelligence unit after going rouge for the first time. As I have said before it’s pretty much in the job description.
I think a lot of Imani’s drive in this episode comes from her feelings about her sister and projecting them onto Julie. She wants to be the one that saves Julie from the bad things happening to her, unlike what happened with her sister. I’m not too sure what exactly is going on in the Bell household but there is certainly something sinister about it all. I do hope that we get to see Raymond Bell be caught in the second half of the season, although the storyline is that good that I would gladly see him in more than just one more episode.
I liked that we got to see a small moment of Dante looking at the photo of Odell to show that he is still invested in the case even whilst exploring the Bell case. No matter how much the team changes one thing always remains and that’s the level of teamwork they put into each case. Everyone cobbled together to find information about the missing people that Raymond had possibly targeted.

Arguably my favourite part of the episode was the interviews that the team did with Raymond. I was completely gripped for the entirety of the sequence, and it was perfect having Voight be the one to catch him out. I love when we get to see Voight show off his skills.
My jaw hit the floor when we got to see that Commander Devlin is the one blackmailing Voight. Clearly, he has a bee in his bonnet since Voight blackmailed him into getting the Intelligence Unit back in action. I’m not too sure Commander Devlin has really thought this through though, does he not know what happened to Reid last season.
I am loving the relationship between Trudy and Voight this season; she really has been his rock since Chapman cut him off. I do hope that he confides in her about what he experienced as a child, but I can see why he doesn’t want the information to be spread around. His dad is regarded as a decorated cop who died in the line of duty. I think it actually makes a lot of sense as to why Voight is the way he is, he has always rooted for and often crossed lines for the little guy. We now know that most likely comes from the fact that once he was the little guy and wishes someone stuck up for him.
I am so incredibly excited for 13b of Chicago PD, if the first half of the season is anything to go by then I can see this being one of the best seasons in the shows entirety.
