Monday kicks off with a jazz symphony of sounds thanks to Grammy-winning production duo Blue Lab Beats, who we all have been fans of all the way since 2019. A few days ago, the London-based pair teased a first taste of their upcoming 5th studio album in the shape of “North London Pace”, a short, but sweet jazz-centered piece.
The song is chanelling years of experiences and inspirations while jamming in London’s buzzing jazz scene. It kicks off with tight, staccato jazz phrasing before blossoming into a synth-soaked swirl. A. transition I found fascinating! The masterpiece eventually dissoles into a lush hip-hop groove, showcasing the diversa range of inspiration and a way to skillfully show the world what NK-OK (Namali Kwaten) and Mr DM (David Mrakpor) are made of.
