AZ Chike has had his identify on the lips of many over the previous two years, and it looks as if the discharge of his new album, No Relaxation For the Depraved, now has everybody turning heads.
The South Central Los Angeles native has established himself as a key determine within the new wave of West Coast hip-hop, and this was cemented when he shocked followers with a function on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album. One observe that actually stood out to me whereas I used to be listening by means of the brand new album was positively “Sky Rockets”. It is mellow allure and colourful synths, tastefully contrasted with the uncooked and punchy drums throughout the manufacturing. He enhances this aesthetic with a assured but nonchalant move, including one other layer of cool to an already vibrant and laid-back manufacturing. My favorite half is fingers down the harmonies throughout the refrain because the observe turns into uplifting and extremely soulful as that part arises.
