Oscar Farrell’s new EP So Far South is closed off by the emotionally charged track “I Need U” – a listening experience that fluctuates seamlessly between eerie and beautifully soulful. UK-based producer Oscar Farrell has made a name for himself with his left-field brand of UK Garage that’s frequently adorned with out of this world sound design. We’re welcomed to this exact sentiment from start to finish on “I Need U” thanks to the incredibly catchy and haunting vocals floating across the lush pads. UKG-inspired drums shuffle underneath the mix, and in the second half, Oscar Farrell’s immersive synth embellishments…
On his latest release “The Luck”, Harry Charles showcases his wizardry behind the synthesizer as he takes us on an ever-morphing journey into color and sound. Harry Charles has made his mark by crafting an electrifying style characterized by downtempo beats, slow house rhythms, live instrumentation, and heartfelt vocal performances. On “The Luck” however, he veers into a different direction that’s melodically rich and enlivened by multi-colored sound design laden with constant surprises. Towards the end, the drums fall silent and tension unfolds to eventually fall into a dance-friendly drop that’s bound to heat up the dance floor. Source link
If the timeline’s got you seeking a channel for your latent blood lust, then put down the sharp stick and prepare to smile at last. For the very first time, Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films will be presented together for nationwide theatrical screenings. Debuting December 5th, the aptly-titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair has been edited and reworked into one full-length, fully unrated film. The release is actually a wee bit of revisionist history, as Tarantino had originally wanted Kill Bill to be seen as one epic, oversized cinematic experience. “I wrote and directed it as one movie —…

At 73 years young, the kooky genius is proving he hasn’t lost his touch with his latest world tour supporting his new album, Who Is the Sky? Byrne brought the tour home on Tuesday, September 30th for the first of two nights at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. There…

As it turns out, Burning Man isn’t the only festival that brings out the freaks.
