Aubrey Plaza has damaged her silence on the passing of her husband, Jeff Baena.
The actress appeared on Amy Poehler’s Good Cling podcast on Tuesday, the place she spoke candidly about navigating grief.
“Proper on this very, very current second, I really feel blissful to be with you,” Plaza informed Poehler, her former co-star on Parks and Recreation. “I’m right here and I’m functioning and I really feel actually grateful to be transferring via the world. I’m okay, however it’s a each day battle, clearly.”
Plaza then used a “actually dumb analogy” to explain the grief she experiences, likening it to the 2025 horror movie The Gorge starring Miles Teller.
“Within the film, there’s like a cliff on one facet and there’s a cliff on the opposite facet, then there’s gorge in between and it’s full of all these like monster individuals which are attempting to get them,” Plaza defined.

Baena, a screenwriter and director, died by suicide on January third, 2025, on the age of 47.
