Apple TV has made another move to inch closer to Netflix in the streaming race, and this one might just put them over the top. In the latest example of the streaming world replicating the success of cable bundles, Apple is teaming up with another popular streamer to deliver a combined, cost-effective alternative for subscribers.
It has been announced by Apple and NBCUniversal that a new Apple TV and Peacock streaming bundle will be available for subscribers on October 20. The deal includes a starter package with Apple TV and Peacock Premium for $14.99, while Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus will be $19.99. Matt Strauss, Chairman, NBCUniversal Media Group, shared the following statement.
“There is no more perfect combination of entertainment than the Apple TV and Peacock Bundle, with our complementary content portfolios featuring the best shows, movies, sports, and live events. With this first-of-its-kind initiative with Apple, we’re redefining what the customer journey should be for a streaming bundle with rich sampling and a smooth sign-up process, and we’re broadening the reach of Peacock to even more audiences.”
More to come.
