Since emerging in 2017, Alois have quietly established themselves as one of Switzerland’s distinctive bands in dancefloor-friendly pop. I can’t believe this is the first time I’m discovering their work, but better be late to the party than totally miss it, right? And what a hazy, trippy, and dreamy experience it was listening to their latest single, “9 Hours”, part of their upcoming album Who calms you down? which we’ll get to hear in 2027. This is what Alois shared about the track, and honestly, I don’t think anyone could’ve described it any better:
“Whether you’re planning to rob a casino with your pals or just looking for an occasion to wear your best sunglasses: “9 Hours” might be the perfect vibe-setter to walk you down the street in the coolest way possible. With a groove under your feet that’s equally 60s psychedelia and guitar-driven funk, you’ll be more than prepared for any situation that requires a slow and confident strut from your side.”
