PUSHBACK is a Nashville-based 4-piece known for their electrifying live performances, blending instrumental jazz fusion, jazz house, drum & bass, and trap jazz into an energetic, genre-defying sound. I found them on TikTok some time ago (I think…), but there wasn’t any music on streaming platforms. Until today.
Often referred to as “the heaviest band in the universe“, the trio shared their mind-blowing “V1 / Rotate” (and its extended version) a few days ago, and I feel a strange feeling of accomplishment. Strange, because I have no involvement in this, but listening to the track and its gorgeous development makes me feel happy, inspired, and content with myself and where I am in life.
A blend of jazz, jungle, drum & bass, house and anything in between. Or a jazzier, calmer version of Aphex Twin? Idk.
