The Sticky is not going to be returning for a second season. In line with Deadline, Prime Video has canceled the heist comedy collection two months after its premiere on the streaming service. The six-episode collection was created by Brian Donovan and Ed Herro.
Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Guillaume Cyr starred within the collection, that includes Jamie Lee Curtis’s visitor look. The collection dramatized an actual heist that came about in 2012 after a maple syrup farmer noticed her livelihood threatened.
The next was revealed concerning the cancellation of the collection:
“The Sticky couldn’t break by way of and draw broad sufficient viewers regardless of stable critiques (80% on Rotten Tomatoes). Comedies take longer than dramas to, um, stick, which may clarify why streamers are doing fewer half-hour exhibits and why these exhibits have a usually larger cancellation charge after a single season.”
