    Stephen Colbert channeled Kay Jewelers on Monday’s (January 6) version of The Late Present as he commemorated the January 6 Capitol assault for many who deem the tried coup as “a day of affection.”

    In a video, clips performed of President-elect Donald Trump praising the 2021 assault, saying issues like, “It was a day of affection,” “There was a magnificence to it,” and “They had been there with love of their coronary heart.”

    This then transitioned right into a spoof Kay Jewelers business, the voice-over saying, “This January 6, give her the right present to commemorate that big day of affection.”

    A girl then opened a present field to disclose a “diamond-encrusted noose.”
