“My name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin,” the actor told the crowd at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California (via PEOPLE). “If somebody comes up to me at the airport and says, ‘Excuse me, are you Macaulay Culkin?’ I can say, ‘Well, Macaulay Culkin is my middle name.’ … I did it all for that one joke. Culkin originally announced his intention to swap his middle name from “Carson” during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2018. He announced the results of the poll later that year and promised to legally make the change in 2019.
