Over Thanksgiving, Disney+ will serve up a delicious treat for Beatles fans: a newly restored and remastered version of The Beatles Anthology documentary film will be released with the addition of a new ninth episode. Marking its streaming debut, the film will debut on Disney+ over three nights: episode 1-3 will launch on November 26th, followed by episodes 4-6 on the 27th, and episodes 7-9 on the 28th. The newly added ninth episode includes previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage of Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney filmed in 1994 and 1995 as they worked on the original Anthology release. In anticipation, Disney+ has released a new trailer for the documentary’s release.
To coincide with the documentary, The Anthology Collection is being reissued with an a new fourth album on November 21st (pre-order here). A 25th anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book was also recently released.
