Warren Zevon was honored with a performance by The Killers during the late singer-songwriter’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction on Saturday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
After an emotional speech by longtime fan David Letterman, The Killers took the stage to perform, with
the band’s Dave Keuning being handed a guitar that Zevon had gifted to Letterman 22 years ago,
Joined by legendary session guitarist Waddy Wachtel, who worked with Zevon on several recordings over the years, the Killers delivered a single song, only playing “Lawyers, Guns and Money,” with singer Brandon Flowers giving an inspired vocal performance.
