Charli XCX has officially announced Wuthering Heights, a new album accompanying Emerald Fennell’s 2026 film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel. She’s also released another new song from the project, titled “Chains of Love.” Stream the track below.
Out February 13th, 2026, to coincide with the theatrical release of Wuthering Heights, the project features 12 original songs, including the recently released John Cale collaboration “House.” Pre-order your physical copy here.
The moody “Chains of Love” hearkens back to the sound of Charli’s 2013 debut album, True Romance, with her filtered vocals floating atop synthpop production. “The chains of love are cruel,” she croons. “I shouldn’t feel like a prisoner/ My face is turning blue/ Can’t breathe without you here.”

“Chains of Love” soundtracks the new trailer for Wuthering Heights, featuring Margot Robbie’s Cathy and Jacob Elordi’s Heathcliff as star-crossed lovers. Previewing the “greatest love story of all time,” the clip is as over-the-top and dramatic as one would hope, with lustful stares, plenty of tears, impassioned dialogue, and, of course, teasers for the sex scenes to come (pun intended?). Check it out below.
Besides her involvement with Wuthering Heights, Charli will star in the A24 film The Moment. Based on her original idea, the movie is set for release next year.
