With Fall TV in full swing, ABC is already looking ahead to early 2026.
The Alphabet network on Tuesday afternoon announced its midseason premiere dates, bringing fan favorites back to the air.
On a somewhat surprising note, the network’s Thursday line-up, which consists of 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy, will not endure lengthy midseason hiatuses.

In the past, ABC has notoriously banished its popular Thursday shows from the schedule, so they have relatively uninterrupted runs when they typically return.
This is good news because it means fans won’t have to wait too long to learn what happens after their November 13 fall finales.
The three shows will return to the air on Thursday, January 8, which is a pretty respectable hiatus, all things considered.
With Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and all the festive fun in between, the shows could use a break for a couple of months.

High Potential, which wraps up its sexy fall run this evening, will be back on the case on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, where it will be on the move to the 9 p.m. slot.
There, it will be sandwiched between Will Trent Season 4 and The Rookie Season 8, delivering a crime-fighting night that’s sure to be well-watched.
All three shows are TV Fanatic staff favorites, and they resonate because they have fun elements, despite the otherwise heavy subject matter that they handle.
Wednesdays will consist of Shifting Gears, Abbott Elementary, and Shark Tank beginning January 7.

The comedies will either go on hiatus in February or move to another time slot because the highly anticipated Scrubs revival airs in the 8 p.m. slot beginning Wednesday, February 25.
ABC is billing it as Scrubs Season 10, indicating it will be a direct continuation of the series. It will be fun seeing how it holds up after taking almost 16 years off.
Will it be the same old Scrubs, or will there be a new spin on it to keep the format fresh and exciting?
The Bachelor is still on ice at ABC, but The Bachelorette will return on March 22.

In a somewhat surprising movie, Taylor Frankie Paul of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fame, will be the one handing out the roses.
Her co-stars, Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, are currently competing on Dancing With the Stars, so it’s clear that Disney’s mandate is to use its key players across multiple shows.
