US producer Nick Marks returns with something he called “Butcher Brown meets Dilla on planet Motown”. His latest single blends jazz, beats, jazztronica & r&b/soul influences for something that transcends genres – the ultimate example of creative freedom.
He shares, “do wut u luv” came out of late-night sessions in my NYC studio – looping beats, recording piano, and following instinct. After years of writing for film, I wanted to make something freer and more spontaneous, built on feel rather than perfection.”
The warm, analog-hued single was created together with his frequent collaborators Andrew Gould, Dave Levy, Sarpay Ozcagatay, Doron Lev & David Rosenthal and can easily be the soundtrack of a lot of your everyday moments.
