Inwards’ brand new track “Fishing” is the bounciest way you can start your day. I’m still recovering from this year’s ADE event, so writing has been on the slower end of things, but that track made me feel like back on the dancefloor this weekend.
Real name Kristian Shelley, Inwards is a UK-based producer crafting a sound that blurs the lines between playfulness and introspection. His music pulses with restless energy, something you can instantly pick in this new release. Extremely rich in texture, melody, and emotion, he uses a blend of modular synths, self-recorded field sounds, and organic instrumentation, resulting in a world both curious and deeply human, one that’s quietly earned him a place among some of the most forward-thinking names in electronic music. Kristian has previously gotten the attention of BBC Radio 1, CLASH Magazine, RA, Selector Radio and KCRW and I don’t even think we’ve seen the best out of him, yet.
“Fishing” is the kind of gem to play on endless loop while appreciating the beauty of life
