Apple TV+ no longer has a plus sign, thanks to Apple’s new rebranding of the film and television streaming service. The name change was quietly announced in a press release revealing the December 12th streaming premiere for F1: The Movie, which described the platform’s “vibrant new identity.”
Apple also touted the name as “easier to remember,” but as of publishing, the streamer’s official website and app retain the original branding. There’s also the question of how the company will avoid naming confusion with its physical streaming box.
In any case, the streaming service Apple TV is home to acclaimed television series such as The Studio and Severance, as well as films like Killers of the Flower Moon and Highest 2 Lowest.
