I’d love to believe that this is really the end for Sophia’s scheme to hide her baby from Tate (who isn’t even the father, apparently.)
If you’ve been following my Days of Our Lives spoilers for a while, you know how much I hate this story.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-13-25 suggest this is the week Sophia’s lies catch up with her, but until she’s hauled off to prison for what she did to Holly, I won’t believe it.
Tate Seems To Be Taking The News That He Is Not the Father Way Too Well
If I were him, I’d be furious.
Sophia insisted Tate was the father of her baby the entire time she was pregnant, and afterward, she engaged in an elaborate series of lies just to stop Tate from finding the baby and deciding to keep him.
Tate tormented himself for several months, searching for a baby that ultimately wasn’t his so that he could hold “his” child for a minute before saying goodbye forever.
And after all that, Tate isn’t the father (at least, unless and until the writers decide to undo this latest plot twist, which is always a possibility…)
Yet, from the clip in the spoiler video, he doesn’t seem angry. He seems excited to be free of the entire burden.
I get that his priority is convincing Holly not to run away to Europe because of the baby nonsense, but Tate’s reaction doesn’t ring true. He should be at least a little upset after everything he’s been through.
Of Course, Tate Only Knows Half The Story.
Tate might be naive enough to believe Sophia didn’t falsely claim he’s the father on purpose, but what Sophia did to Holly is unconscionable.
Drugging someone and taking suggestive photos of them while they’re unconscious is never okay. In fact, it’s sexual assault, and Sophia sending those photos to Johnny to interfere with the adoption of her baby makes it even worse.
It’s not yet clear how soon this will all come to light, but Johnny and Chanel told Holly about their suspicions, while Brady advised them not to confront Sophia without hard evidence.
I write about DAYS and other shows I’m passionate about because I love them, and I’m far from the only one eager to share my thoughts with fans.

I’m not sure I agree. The police might need probable cause, but Johnny and Chanel don’t, and Sophia is so terrified of being found out that she might crack under pressure and confess everything.
As It Is, Sophia Will Confess to Trask… Again.
Trask will likely regret getting involved with Sophia. Sophia turns to her whenever she’s panicking about the plan, which is at least once a week.
This time, Sophia will tell all, which means we might find out who the father of the baby is.
Rumor has it that Aaron is the real dad, which might make for soapy drama if true since he’s Tate’s best friend.
However, it irks me that there are absolutely no signs foreshadowing this possibility. Days of Our Lives usually hits us over the head with what’s going to happen, but this time… crickets.
Aaron didn’t have any reaction suggesting that he suspected he was the father when he saw an eight-months-pregnant Sophia, nor did he behave in any way other than a supportive friend when Tate told him he was giving up his search for the baby this past Friday.
I guess it’s possible that Aaron doesn’t realize he could be the father, but if he slept with Sophia shortly before she became pregnant, there should have been at least a momentary doubt.
That’s the problem with the “Tate isn’t the father” twist: it came out of nowhere, without any evidence that Sophia had slept with someone else.
It also makes the last six months of lies pointless. If only Sophia had known Tate wasn’t the father of her baby, she wouldn’t have had to pretend she gave birth later than she did or claim the baby was a girl when she had a boy.
The entire story was an elaborate version of the baby switch stories that Days of Our Lives loves so much that has now been proven to be a huge waste of time, so if the soap compounds that problem by making Aaron the father, it’ll be even more annoying.

Still, Trask’s reaction to the news that Sophia’s baby never belonged to Tate in the first place should be interesting.
She risked her law license (again) to help Sophia, and now she’s stuck in the middle of a huge mess — and Sophia is likely going to face charges once the full truth comes out, too.
Sophia Isn’t The Only One Making Poor Choices
The preteen set is headed for explosive drama after Thomas looks to Rachel for advice about Chad and Cat.
Rachel is about the worst person he could ask.
I really wish someone would tell Brady about the chaos she caused by telling Thomas about Cat’s past and how Cat and Chad had kissed, but for now, that’s staying within the family.
This is like the pre-teen version of when JJ came back to Salem as a teenager with mental health issues who was determined to destroy Jennifer and Daniel’s relationship.
In fact, Thomas will take Rachel’s advice and do exactly what JJ did: threaten to leave home forever until Chad is finished with Cat altogether.
Thomas has less power to follow through since he’s in fifth grade, but since his grandparents also hate Cat and might be willing to take him in temporarily, he has some leverage.
I’d love for JJ and Thomas to have a heart-to-heart since JJ’s been through something similar, but sadly, I doubt that will happen.
JJ’s story right now seems to revolve around his guilt over shooting Theo eight years ago. Plus, most of the time, the writers ignore his past and his connection to the Horton family, so it’s hard to trust that this will be any different.
There Is Movement on a Few Other Stories This Week
- The business war story heats up, with Abe disapproving strongly of Theo’s decision to work with Tony, while Tony (or is he Andre?) pulling the rug out from under Gabi now that he’s got what he wants.
- EJ believes his plans are foolproof, but Cat gets more photos of the construction site and shares what she knows with Rafe.
- Alex takes it upon himself to threaten Jeremy, demanding he stay away from Stephanie — that won’t go over well with her, as she hates other people being in her business.
- Steve and Kayla have quality time during a day off.
