Kantara Chapter 1 Hindi Box Office Day 1 Collection
According to the official figures, Kantara Chapter 1 raked in 18.50 crores on day 1 in the Hindi belt. It opened to a direct box office clash with Bollywood biggie Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (10.11 crores), but brought in way higher debut earnings.
The period-mythological action drama had an impressive opportunity due to the Dussehra/ Gandhi Jayanti holiday. However, it stayed on the predicted lines. All eyes are now on the weekend growth, considering the franchise has a huge fan following. Plus, there’s limited competition as there are only two rivals – Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Jolly LLB 3.
Kantara Chapter 1 vs Kantara at the Hindi Box Office
In 2022, Kantara made a promising start, adding 1.27 crores to the kitty on day 1. In comparison, Rishab Shetty’s prequel has minted 1356% higher opening. That’s indeed a fantastic start. With a good jump during the extended opening weekend, it has the potential to cross the OG film’s lifetime of 81.1 crore net.
Beats Prabhas’ Salaar
Since the Baahubali mania, Prabhas has enjoyed a huge fan base in the Hindi belt. Interestingly, Kantara Chapter 1 has surpassed his 5th highest opener, Salaar.
Salaar (Hindi) has opened at the box office with earnings of 15.50 crores. Rishab Shetty has crossed the mark by a considerable feat.

Needless to say, it has scored the highest opening for a South film in the Hindi language in 2025. It opened way better than Game Changer (8.64 crores) and Coolie (4.5 crores).
