Identical to NCIS did in Season 21, the prequel Origins shall be paying tribute to the late David McCallum, who performed Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard on the mothership and died in 2023.
Adam Campbell will reprise his function as younger Ducky in NCIS: Origins‘ tribute episode airing this fall. Within the episode, “The Edge,” CBS reveals, “Ducky is shipped to Camp Pendleton to shadow the workforce whereas they work a case and, within the course of, he reconnects with Gibbs [Austin Stowell] after the 2 crossed paths years earlier.” A precise air date and episode quantity have but to be revealed. The title of the episode comes from the enduring track by McCallum, and it will likely be featured in it.
“We needed to do that episode to honor the reminiscence of our expensive buddy David McCallum.
