Paramount+ has formally greenlit NOLA King, a by-product of its hit collection Tulsa King, with Samuel L. Jackson because the lead. Jackson will play Russell Lee Washington Jr., who is shipped to take out Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi by the Renzetti crime household.
“Impressed by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the probabilities of second possibilities, Washington returns to New Orleans, the house he deserted forty-years in the past, to rekindle his relationship together with his household, pals, and to take management of town he left behind,” reads the official description. “In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York, and makes himself susceptible to outdated NOLA foes, each prison and cop.”
Jackson’s character will debut in Tulsa King Season 3, premiering this September. Produced by MTV Leisure Studios and 101 Studios, NOLA King boasts a powerhouse crew of government producers, together with Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Sylvester Stallone, and Jackson himself.
