This instantly introduced again my love for trip-hop – however with a beautiful twist.
The UK singer Ria Moran, a frequent collaborator of jazz collective Nubiyan Twist, brings the title monitor of her upcoming debut album. “Cubico” blends indie soul, trip-hop & jazz/jazztronica influences, and is one among her most sincere tunes ever.
Written from Ria’s mom’s perspective, it pays the much-deserved tribute and honours the time & consideration she gave to Ria even in probably the most troublesome instances. The singer provides, “This one is fairly heavy material, so I might be eager to say, those that know what it’s about will know what it’s about, and people who don’t can specific and relate to it in any approach they really feel. This track is probably the most private and sincere track up to now, and I’m fairly nervous to launch it!”
The deep & introspective really feel is bolstered by the comfortable keys & the deep vocals, however the tune ends with a shock – a synth-driven, groovy outro that’ll go away you speechless. For sure, we’re fairly excited for the album (out July 18th through DeepMatter Data).
