On their newest launch, Pink Butter and T3 of Slum Village revive the essence of 90s hip hop, layering it with fashionable manufacturing aptitude for a timeless but forward-thinking sound.
Pink Butter is a Swedish collective made up of 4 musicians merging the liberty of jazz with the up to date sounds of hip-hop and soul. For “Can We Go Again”, they draw inspiration from the legendary J Dilla to craft the beat and have invited T3 of Slum Village to convey the monitor to life. All through his stellar verses, T3 displays on the sensation of being caught at a darkish station, unsure whether or not higher days lie forward or behind. That is complemented by booming drums and woozy, melodic synths floating within the backdrop.
