Pope Francis, the pinnacle of the Roman Catholic Church, has died on the age of 88 following problems from a lung sickness. Cardinal Kevin Farrell shared the information in a video assertion aired Monday on the Vatican’s TV channel. “Expensive brothers and sisters, it’s with profound disappointment I have to announce the dying of our Holy Father Francis,” he mentioned.
“At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father.” The pontiff had been recovering from pneumonia since his launch from Rome’s Gemelli Hospital in March 2025 and had been below docs’ care on the Vatican.
