Ellen Pompeo will not be letting Dr. Meredith Gray go anytime quickly. Although the actress’s final full-time look on Gray’s Anatomy was again in 2022, she has not stopped narrating or govt producing the sequence which made her a family title. And in a brand new interview, Pompeo revealed that she has no plans to ever reduce ties with the present utterly. That simply would not make sense to her, on any stage.
In a brand new interview with El País, the second-most circulated every day newspaper in Spain, Pompeo put it plainly, stating that it “would make no sense, emotionally or financially” to go away the medical drama for good. “The present was streamed greater than a billion instances in 2024. Greater than a billion instances,” she emphasised. So, yeah: would you go away a paycheck that good, for good? In 2025?! (We actually would not.)

She went on to clarify her reasoning thusly:
“The businesses that personal the present and stream the present make some huge cash from our photos and our voices and our faces. If I had been to stroll away utterly, all people will get to generate profits from my laborious work for 20 years and I would not make any cash. To me, it would not make any sense that everyone [else] will get to revenue off of my laborious work. And emotionally, the present means loads to folks. I need to have an angle of gratitude towards the present.”
